Hargis Scholarship Fund An endowed scholarship fund established by the Grand Island College board of directors to benefit graduating high school seniors, non-traditional students, and returning adults from Adams, Blaine, Boone, Buffalo, Clay, Custer, Dawson, Franklin, Furnas, Garfield, Gosper, Greeley, Hall, Hamilton, Harlan, Howard, Kearney, Loup, Merrick, Nance, Nuckolls, Phelps, Platte, Polk, Sherman, Valley, Webster, and Wheeler counties in Nebraska. Applicants seeking a certificate, diploma or associate degree through a community college or other technical institution in a business, health, or travel and tourism course of study are eligible to apply.
AOK Ladies Scholarship Fund An endowed, donor-advised fund established by Gloria Wolbach and Kim West Dinsdale. This scholarship benefits ALL Grand Island High School graduating seniors and is presented on behalf of the AOK Ladies in Grand Island in recognition of volunteer and community service. Applicants must be a first time recipient of this scholarship and have a GPA of 2.7 or greater.
Associated Staffing Inc. Scholarship Fund An expendable scholarship fund established Brian McMahon, this scholarship is for the benefit of graduating high school seniors or non-traditional students pursuing a certificate, diploma, or associates degree in a skilled technical science field of study from an accredited institution of higher education located in the state of Nebraska. Scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors or non-traditional college students residing within the Associated Staffing office trade areas covering the following Nebraska counties: Adams, Boone, Butler, Buffalo, Butler, Cass, Clay, Colfax, Custer, Dawson, Douglas, Hall, Hamilton, Howard, Kearney, Madison, Merrick, Phelps, Platte, Polk, Sarpy, Saunders, Sherman, Stanton, and Washington. Preference is given to applicants who have demonstrated commitment to extracurricular and volunteer activities, as well as community involvement
Bernard and Jo Ann Kisner Scholarship Fund An endowed scholarship fund established by Barney and Jo Ann Kisner to provide financial assistance to qualified graduates of Hall County high schools in pursuit of their college, university or vocational school education. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater and an ACT of 23 or greater.
Betty J. and Jack B. Adams Memorial Scholarship Fund An endowed, fund established by Diana and Richard Pitchers in honor of Betty J. and Jack B. Adams established to benefit graduating seniors from Grand Island Northwest High School. Eligible students may attend any college and course of study in Nebraska or out of state. Applicants but must be enrolled full-time and have a GPA of 3.5 or greater. Preference given to students demonstrating financial need.
Betty Meedel/YWCA Memorial Scholarship Fund An endowed memorial scholarship fund established in honor of Betty Meedel for female students with ability and desire, but lacking financial means to attend an institution of higher education. All Hall County female graduating high school seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or greater; an ACT of 25 or greater and in the top 25% class rank are eligible to apply. This annual scholarship will benefit applicants pursuing a degree in health-care or science related fields of study.
Carl C. and Abbie Rebman Trust Scholarship Fund An expendable scholarship fund established by Carl C. Rebman to benefit Hall County traditional and non-traditional students entering into a Nursing, Auto Mechanics or Diesel Technology field of study. Applicant must be a Hall County resident or their parent/guardian a Hall County resident. Applicant must attend Central Community College in Grand Island; Hastings or Columbus.
CHI Health St. Francis Auxiliary Scholarship Fund An expendable scholarship fund established to benefit students who are currently enrolled and have completed, or are completing, at least one year in an accredited school with the intent of receiving a degree or diploma in a health-related occupation. Three scholarships will be awarded annually based on academic performance with one scholarship to be awarded based on financial need. A personal interview with the scholarships committee is required
Craig Robertshaw Memorial Scholarship Fund An endowed scholarship fund established by the Robertshaw family to provide financial assistance to financially needy students residing in the Doniphan-Trumbull School District.
Edgar Barge Memorial Scholarship Fund An expendable scholarship fund established to honor the memory of Edgar Barge, and to benefit graduating high school seniors who are registered parishioners at Blessed Sacrament Church in Grand Island, NE. This scholarship requires active parish participation and a letter of recommendation from a Blessed Sacrament parishioner included in the application.
Eleanore Brune Memorial Scholarship Fund An endowed fund established to honor the memory of Eleanore J. Brune and to benefit Hall County non-traditional students, particularly returning adults.
George Cowton Rotary Scholarship Fund An endowed fund established by Jim Kahrhoff established in memory of his grandfather, George Cowton, who was a long standing member of the Grand Island Rotary Club. All Grand Island graduating high school seniors are eligible to apply. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0-3.7 and an ACT of 20-24.
George Wanitschke Family Scholarship Fund An endowed scholarship fund established in memory of George Wanitschke. All Grand Island, Doniphan and Loup City graduating high school seniors are eligible to apply. Consideration will be given to students pursuing a finance or agri-business course of study.
GRACE Foundation Scholarship Fund An expendable scholarship fund established for established for the benefit of cancer patients and/or students with an immediate (parent or sibling) battling cancer. Applicants must be no older than the age of 22 on the date of application, have a GPA of at least a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, and plans to enroll as a full-time student at a two or four year post-secondary institution in Nebraska. Applicant must include the name of the cancer patient and location of the cancer treatment facility in their personal statement on the application.
Grand Island Board of Realtors Scholarship Fund An expendable scholarship fund established by the Grand Island Board of Realtors.
Habitat for Humanity Scholarship Fund An endowed fund established by Grand Island Area Habitat for Humanity to benefit Hall, Hamilton, Howard, Merrick and York County graduating seniors and non-traditional students who currently reside in a Habitat Home and are pursuing post-secondary education at a trade school, community college or university. Applicants must be in good standing with Habitat for Humanity.
Hall County Medical Society Scholarship Fund An endowed scholarship established to provide scholarships to Hall County non-traditional students pursuing a career in a healthcare profession. Applicants must have graduated from a high school in Hall County (but are not required to be a current resident of). Emphasis is placed on students already accepted into Medical School or Graduate School.
Henry and Maria Ahrens Charitable Trust Scholarship Fund An endowed fund established to honor the memory of Henry and Maria Ahrens, and to benefit individuals entering a healthcare profession. Applicants must have graduated from a high school in Hall County (but are not required to be a current resident of). Emphasis is placed on students already accepted into Medical School or Graduate School.
Howard and Gladys Eakes Memorial Scholarship Fund An endowed fund established to honor the memories of Howard and Gladys Eakes. Applicants can apply that are a child or stepchild of an Eakes Office Solutions employee who has been employed a minimum of one year. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or greater. Graduating high school seniors at each location are eligible.
James P. and Joy Y. Zana Family Scholarship Fund An endowed scholarship fund established by James and Joy Zana to provide financial assistance to Grand Island Senior High students pursuing fine arts.
Jami Harper Nebraska Children's Groundwater Festival Scholarship Fund An endowed fund established by Jami Harper for the benefit of a Nebraska graduating high school senior pursuing a water resources related field of study. Graduating high school seniors or students entering their sophomore, junior, senior or graduate years of study are eligible. Students can reapply in subsequent year and must be enrolled full-time.
Jami Harper Youth Leadership Tomorrow Scholarship Fund An endowed scholarship fund established by Jami Harper to benefit a graduate of the Youth Leadership Tomorrow program in Hall County, who has stayed involved in their community after their program year. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors and entering into their first year of post-secondary education.
Jim and Dee Price Scholarship Fund An expendable scholarship fund established by Jim and Dee Price to benefit of graduating high school seniors or non-traditional students pursuing a certificate, diploma, or degree from an accredited institution of higher education located in the state of Nebraska. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.75, with a preference of 3.0 or higher. Preferences are also given to students who are children or step-children of Border States employees or students with a disability.
Jim and Norma Merrick Scholarship Fund An endowed scholarship fund established by Jim and Norma Merrick to be used to award annual scholarships to traditional or non-traditional students attending Central Community College, Grand Island Campus. Karen A. Connick Memorial Scholarship Fund An endowed fund, this scholarship was established to honor the memory of Karen A. Connick to benefit a graduating high school senior from the Doniphan, Giltner or Trumbull area.

Marval and Joyce Hornady Scholarship Fund An endowed scholarship fund established by the grandchildren of Marval and Joyce Hornady in memory of their grandparents and their love for their family, employees and community. This scholarship was established for children, stepchildren, grandchildren and/or legal guardians of full-time Hornady Manufacturing employees or retirees or employees in good-standing who have worked full-time at Hornady Manufacturing for five or more years and wish to pursue post-secondary education. Students must attend an accredited university, college, vocational or community college. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.
Michael and Audrey Pitcher Scholarship Fund An endowed scholarship fund established was established to benefit traditional and non-traditional students from Hall County, Centura High School and Central Community College in Grand Island and Hastings who wish to pursue a career in nursing or tool and die to include machinists, CNC operators and engineers. Eligible students must have a GPA of 2.5 greater and be enrolled full-time in a Nebraska program or college. Students may reapply annually and preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.
O.K. and Lillian B. Winn Scholarship Fund An endowed scholarship fund established in memory of O.K. and Lillian Winn for the benefit of a graduating high school senior who currently lives, or has lived in Wood River, Nebraska.
Paul D. Good Memorial Scholarship Fund An endowed memorial scholarship established in memory of Paul D. Good. Applicants must be a Grand Island Senior High graduating senior and have a GPA of 2.5-3.0 and an ACT of 15-20. Applicant must also be a first time recipient of this scholarship. School involvement, volunteering, financial need and employment experience will be used to determine recipient.
Rick Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund An endowed scholarship fund established in honor of Sgt. Richard Thomas "Rick" Smith. Grand Island Northwest High School graduating seniors are eligible to apply. Preference is given to those pursuing an Automotive or Mechanics or Diesel Technology field of study.
Russell and Mabel Geer Scholarship Fund An endowed scholarship established by Russell and Mabel Geer to be awarded annually to Grand Island Senior High graduating seniors. Applicant must have a GPA of 2.5-3.0 and an ACT of 20-25.
Sharon Rerucha / Big Brothers Big Sisters Scholarship Fund An endowed fund established by the Rerucha Family in memory of Sharon Rerucha. Scholarships will be awarded annually to graduating seniors who have participated in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program as a Little (mentee) or Big (high school mentor). Applicants must have been matched as a Little for at least one year, or currently be involved with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program as a high school mentor.

TeamMates Mentoring Program Scholarship Endowment Fund An endowed fund established to benefit students who have been a Grand Island/Hall County TeamMates mentee since ninth grade or younger and are currently matched.
Theodore Bielfeldt Memorial Scholarship Fund An endowed fund established to honor the memory of Theodore J. Bielfeldt who passed away in 1998. The scholarship fund is to benefit Hall County students, traditional or non-traditional, pursuing college or technical school. Applicant must have a GPS of 3.5 or greater. Preference given to students demonstrating financial need.
The Stueven Charitable Foundation Scholarship An expendable scholarship fund established by the Stueven Charitable Foundation. The purpose of the fund is to provide support to Hall County graduates, pursuing Post-secondary education in a medical field.
Velma Mays Scholarship Fund An endowed fund, this scholarship was established in memory of Velma Mays for the benefit of graduating Doniphan-Trumbull High School seniors pursuing an Education field of study.

C.A. Sorensen Memorial Scholarship Fund An expendable fund, this scholarship was funded by generous donations from Dennis L. Welty in memory of C.A. Sorensen. C.A. was a graduate of Loup City High School class of 1909. After graduating from college and receiving his law degree, he served as Nebraska Attorney General and drafted legislation for the organization of the Public Power and Irrigation District of Nebraska. C.A. was known as a role model for his public service and many of his children followed their father into public service. Applicants must be a graduating senior of Loup City High School.
Chris Hiatt Scholarship Fund An expendable fund, this Sherman County Community Foundation Scholarship has been made possible by the family and friends of Chris Hiatt, an outstanding Loup City High School student tragically killed in a car accident in 1993. This scholarship has been established and made available for a graduating Loup City senior student that plans on attending a four-year college.

Lois and Harold Hanshew Scholarship Fund Affiliate fund - Expendable fund established in February 2010, this scholarship provides assistance to students attending graduate school. Lois, a teacher and guidance counselor in Sherman County for many years, created this scholarship on behalf of herself and her late husband, Harold. The applicant must be accepted and enrolled as a full time student in a post-graduate college in a minimum of two-year program to obtain an advanced degree. The applicants must also have been a resident of Sherman County for at least one year while attending high school and have attended an accredited four-year university.
Lois L. Badura/Kaminski Scholarship Fund Affiliate fund - An expendable fund established by Lois L. Badura has made this Sherman County Community Foundation Scholarship possible. It is available to a high school senior who has a town or farm residence in Ashton or Loup City and who will be attending a four year college in the field of Education or Business.

Peter J. and Rose Ann Kowalski Scholarship Fund An expendable fund, this Sherman County Community Foundation Scholarship was established by the family of the late Peter J. and Rose Ann Kowalski. In honor of their parents, this scholarship is available for a graduating Loup City High School student planning to attend a four year college.
Rena Uhlig Trust Scholarship Fund An endowed fund, established by the late Rena Uhlig has made this Sherman County Community Foundation Scholarship possible. It is available for a Loup City High School senior, who is a resident of Sherman County, and has been accepted at an institute of higher learning within the State of Nebraska which awards a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree upon satisfactory completion of the required course of study. Applicants who have already received any other full ride (tuition only) scholarship are not eligible. Any prior year recipient is eligible to reapply as long as condition are still met (attendance at an institute of higher learning within the State of Nebraska).
Ron Setlik Memorial Scholarship Fund Affiliate Fund - An expendable fund, this Sherman County Community Foundation Scholarship has been made possible by the family of Mike and Nellie Setlik. They established this scholarship in memory of Ron Setlik who was a graduate of Loup City High School in 1970. Ron was killed in a car accident in 1975. This annual scholarship has been established and made available for a Loup City High School graduating senior attending a qualified public educational institution.
